“A Riveder le Stelle” at Santa Maria della Scala: the works of Dante and Galileo intertwine in a narrative and musical journey

AMAT - Accademia Musica Arte Teatro

“A RIVEDER LE STELLE,” the a cappella vocal ensemble and narrator performance by AMAT, arrives at the Santa Maria della Scala in Siena.
Music by C. Monteverdi, C. Malvezzi, F. Lazzeroni, S. Pugliese.

The works of Dante and Galileo intertwine in a narrative and musical journey where imagination, literature, and science are connected by a single red thread.

Medieval culture and modern science: two diametrically opposed worldviews, each universal in its own way. Two absolute geniuses, authors of colossal works, find synthesis through the music of contemporary and Renaissance composers.
The texts of the performance are drawn from The Divine Comedy, Life of Galileo by Brecht, Sidereus Nuncius by Galileo, and others.

Performers: Costanza Renai, Cristina Rosa, Francesca Lazzeroni, Keren Or Davidovitch, Matteo Tavini, Alessandro Lanzi, Gabriele Spina, Dielli Hoxha.
Narrator: Michele Mignone.
