Siena: Today, September 10, 2023 Amat participates in the annual event organized by the Jewish Community of Florence and Siena in collaboration with Opera Laboratori, for the European Day of Jewish Culture, which this year received the Medal of the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella.
Closing the day filled with a variety of cultural interventions, at 7 p.m. in the area in front of the Synagogue there will be a concert entitled “Musica Ritrovata,” featuring lyrics by Aldo Finzi (a Jewish musician from Mantua whose brilliant career was cut short by the racial laws of ’38), Kurt Weil, Maurice Ravel (the famous and majestic Kaddish) and an unpublished vocal piece written for the occasion by Concetta Anastasi on texts from the Book of Ruth.
The voices are by Amat’s female opera artists, Costanza Renai, Francesca Lazzeroni and Keren Or Davidovitch, a close-knit and well-established trio currently engaged, together with the other singers of the group, in international tours.
