San Gimignano International Festival: concert for vocal quartet and guitar
On Tuesday, July 18, at 9:30 p.m. in San Gimignano – Rocca di Montestaffoli, for the International Festival, Amat offers an evening with a gypsy tone where flamenco melodies and tango rhythms immerse the spectator in the warm Andalusian summers. The iconic instrument of Spanish culture, the Guitarra is the protagonist of the work Romancero Gitano, by Mario Castelnuovo Tedesco, performed in its entirety. Completing the evening are some intense folk melodies by García Lorca and canciones by Heitor Villa-Lobos. Performing the concert under the direction of Concetta Anastasi are Francesco Ciampalini on guitar and the vocal quartet of the Unconventional Singers formed by Costanza Renai, Francesca Lazzeroni, Chen Hsiang Yuan, Dielli Hoxha. The event is sponsored by the City Council, the Modigliani Association, in collaboration with Opera Laboratories and Sillabe. Free entry
