The Pop category of the Femfestival songwriting competition next November will have a remarkably special Jury President.
Les Bider has been Chairman and CEO of Warner/Chappell, the music publishing branch of Time Warner, Inc. one of the world’s largest music publishers, who has worked with many major artists and songwriters over the years, such as Sheryl Crow, Led Zeppelin, Dido and Nickelback, Elton John and many others.
In 2004, the Songwriters Hall of Fame honored him with the Abe Olman Award, given each year to the music publisher whose songs achieved the greatest worldwide recognition and whose work fostered the careers of several songwriters.
In 2006 he began working in partnership with Elevation Partners, the music enterprise of Bono, the lead singer of the famous group U2, and again through his work the company has grown significantly.
“It is a joy and an honor to have him on our team,” say the three Amat members Francesca, Concetta and Constanza, “with Les Bider, the Femfestival acquires even more value in spreading the music of many young talents to the world. Our special thanks go to our ‘guardian angels’ Lilia and Barry Bloom, making all this possible.”
