The second stop of the Singers will be today, July 26th, at 5:30 PM at The Players Club, New York’s oldest cultural club, whose name is associated with figures such as Mark Twain and Sarah Bernhardt, and a beloved place for many Hollywood actors.
Entering The Players, where time seems to stand still, means taking a journey into mid-19th century New York: founded by Edwin Booth, one of the most famous American stage actors of the 19th century, the Club has always aimed to foster dialogue between artists and patrons, always open to new ideas and experimentation. It is here that the Singers will present a small preview of their innovative show on Italian vocal music, which will be unveiled to the public in 2025: a journey from Renaissance origins to the present day, through opera and great film music. The a cappella arrangements highlight the magic and power of the six harmonized voices, capable of allowing the listener to enjoy every nuance, color, and intensity.
The Singers are excited: “New York City is the ideal place to bring and experiment with our idea of vocal music, which is based on the rich tradition of Italian singing and at the same time aims to innovate and surprise. Being able to sing in such a culturally and artistically rich place makes us very proud. Thanks again to our patrons Lilia and Barry Bloom and to the many friends who have been following our concerts in the Big Apple for years and supporting us!
The Unconventional Singers’ New York tour continues and concludes on July 27th with a private concert in Long Island, featuring a mix of Italian and international repertoire, a cappella ensemble pieces, and solo pieces.
